letterboxing state parks?

Do you have to get permission to add a box in a state park on a well
visited trail? thanks

This is a state-by-state question. National Parks are definitely off-limits
(although there are cases of folks who have gone the distance to get permits
in National Parks).

If you mention what state you live in, I'm sure some other folks can answer
your question!

It all depends on the state. Some allow it, others you need permits,
and still others don't allow letterboxes at all.

If you tell us what state, someone should be able to help you out.
